Description: The value of this object identifies the length of the SNMP response timer, measured in seconds. The timer starts on receipt of an SNMP request. If an SNMP response cannot be returned to the NMS within that time, the SNMP command fails.
What is adnSaSnmpTimer?
This timer specifies the maximum number of seconds the device has to respond to an SNMP request from a management station (typically 1-60 seconds). You would increase this if the device is overloaded and can't respond fast enough, or decrease it if you want quicker failure detection. For example, setting it to 10 means any SNMP query that takes longer than 10 seconds will fail with a timeout.
