Description: Index field that identifies the chassis. Chassis are numbered 1-7. The main chassis (i.e., the one with the active Control Unit) in a multi-chassis node is chassis number 1. In a single-chassis node, the chassis number is 1. This number is provided in hardware by a HLCID card which is plugged into the midplane.
