Description: This defines whether or not the NMS will get the post mortem dump (PMD) files from the node's to_nms transfer directory. If the node is under surveillance (enable) the NMS won't get the PMD files from the to_nms transfer directory but the PMD files continues to be created in this directory. This causes no modification of the PMD mechanism behavior.
What is adnPmdNodeSurveillance?
This read-write OID controls whether the network management system will actively retrieve PMD files from the device's transfer directory or leave them for manual retrieval. Network engineers use this to automate PMD file collection during troubleshooting or to reduce management traffic when the device is generating large debug files. For example, disabling surveillance means PMD files are still created on the device but must be manually downloaded by the engineer.
