Module: ADN-MIB

OID (symbolic): ADN-MIB::adnNodeCommittedVersion

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.5.12.3.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: This object identifies the pathname of the node-level version descriptor file for the committed (validated) HSS software version. The format of the filename is vd.., where is the HSS software version number and is the value modulo 100 of the NMS configuration number, which is incremented at the NMS whenever a new HSS software and/or configuration package is built. is the product release number (1 digit, 0-9), is the functional version (1 digit, 0-9), is the sub-function version within the release (2 digits, 00-99), is the fix version number, (2 digits, 01-99), and is a number that the Network Management System assigns to insure uniqueness of the version number, (2 digits, 00-99).

What is adnNodeCommittedVersion?

ADN-MIB::adnNodeCommittedVersion records the file path to the version descriptor for the last validated and committed (stable) HSS software version on the node. Engineers reference this to identify the last known-good version that was formally locked into production. For example, if committed version shows vd.1.1.02.00.04 but running version is vd.1.2.03.00.05, there's a newer version currently active that hasn't been committed as the baseline.
