Description: This value is used for ATM networks. It is the same for all nodes inside a same network. This value represents the probability of cell loss specified by the operator. It is used by ATM traffic management for non real time Variable Bit Rate (VBR) connections. The stored value is the positive value of the decimal logarithm of this probability. For example : 5 means that the probability is '10 to the power of -5'.
What is adnNodeAtmNetPloss?
This OID stores the ATM cell loss probability for the network as a power of 10 (for example, a value of 5 means 10^-5 probability). ATM traffic management uses this value to set quality-of-service parameters for Variable Bit Rate connections and burst allowances. A value of 5 means the network can tolerate losing 1 cell out of every 100,000 cells transmitted.
