Description: The mid-priority default cost metric value used for the specified Type Of Service (TOS), criterion. The default value is set up at initialization. Thus, initially, 'adnMetricMaxMid' is equal to 'adnMetricDefMid'. This 'adnMetricDefMid' allows easy recall of exactly what the default value is.
What is adnMetricDefMid?
This read-only OID stores the factory-default maximum cost value for the mid-priority (second-level) routing metric, set at system initialization as an integer. Network engineers reference this baseline when investigating whether mid-tier path filters have drifted from their original configuration. For example, if the default was 150 but the current active maximum is 200, the engineer knows someone has relaxed the filtering criteria.
