Description: The default maximum N201 information field size (in number of bits) for a frame the DCE/remote DTE exchanges with this DTE. This excludes flags and 0 bits inserted for transparency.
What is adnLapParamN201FrameSize?
This parameter specifies the largest data payload (in bits) that can fit in a single LAP frame exchanged between the local device and its remote peer, excluding flags and transparency bits. Engineers set this to match both the local hardware capability and the remote peer's requirement; mismatches cause frames to be fragmented or rejected. A value of 1024 means frames can carry up to 1024 bits of user data; smaller values on slow links, larger on high-speed lines.
