Description: The slot number where where the control application of the ifIndex runs.

What is adnIfAssignmentSlot?

This OID stores an integer identifying which slot within the chassis holds the control card for this interface. Network engineers use this to physically locate and access the card in the equipment rack when performing maintenance or troubleshooting. Example: a value of 5 means the control card is installed in slot 5 of the chassis.
