Module: ADN-MIB
OID (symbolic): ADN-MIB::adnHscBoardTrMgtMOBEFCIOffTh
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.5.15.25.1.12
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: This indicates the Explicit Forward Congestion Indication (EFCI) activation threshold in medium priority output buffer (OB); EFCI is generated towards the receiver termination point, in order to prevent congestion situation to be encountered within the output buffer; EFCI tagging is activated as soon as the activation threshold is reached; EFCI tagging is stopped as soon as the filling of the OB is below the EFCI desactivation threshold; the EFCI desactivation threshold is equal to the activation threshold minus 1/10 of the activation threshold; the value range of the threshold is 0..adnHscBoardTrMgtMOBSize; this is not relevant for HSC boards without a medium priority output buffer (e.g. BBT1B and BBE1B).
What is adnHscBoardTrMgtMOBEFCIOffTh?
This read-only integer defines the EFCI deactivation threshold for medium-priority buffers, creating hysteresis to prevent constant toggling of congestion state. This automatic stabilization ensures the network doesn't oscillate between sending and suppressing congestion signals. For example, if EFCI activates at 4500 cells and deactivates at 3000 cells, congestion signaling quiets once the buffer drains to 3000.
