Description: This indicates the Selective Cell Discard (SCD) threshold in high priority output buffer (OB); when the filling of the high priority OB reaches the threshold, any incoming cell which internal cell loss priority equal to 1 will be discarded; due to BGTOB chip constraint, the value of the threshold is the high priority OB size. (adnHscBoardTrMgtHOBSize).
What is adnHscBoardTrMgtHOBSCDTh?
This integer sets the buffer fill threshold (in cells) where selective cell discard activates for high-priority traffic, allowing the system to drop marked cells before complete overflow. Network engineers configure this to gracefully shed traffic under extreme congestion rather than experiencing catastrophic buffer loss. For example, a value of 115 means once the high-priority buffer fills completely, selectively discard cells marked for loss.
