Engineers monitor this to see how often low-priority ingress traffic is dropped and whether incoming traffic policies need adjustment. A value of 2100 means 2100 best-effort frames were dropped; steady growth suggests the ingress port is undersized for peak demand or quality-of-service policies are too aggressive.
