Description: This indicates the number of Bcs (statistically committed data rate) sub-frames that were discarded for egress traffic (ie., TPX Interworking Function, frame relay subsystem, or frame relay switching interface) due to line driver transmit queue congestion.
What is adnFrtVCStatsBcsOutDiscards?
This counter tracks the number of statistically-committed data frames that were dropped on outgoing traffic because the transmit queue was too full. Network engineers monitor this to detect when frame relay traffic is being throttled and determine if bandwidth or queue settings need adjustment. A value of 150 means 150 frames were dropped since the counter started; if this grows quickly, it signals the virtual circuit is experiencing regular congestion.
