Description: This specifies the excessive burst data rate, in bits per second, in the forward direction. Note that forward data may be ingress or egress depending on the setting of adnFrtVCSetupDir.
What is adnFrtVCBeForward?
This OID stores the maximum burst rate (in bits per second) that the network will attempt to deliver in the forward direction, above the committed rate when capacity allows. Engineers configure burst rates to accommodate temporary traffic spikes without dropping packets, enabling better performance during peak usage windows. Setting this to 512000 allows traffic to burst up to 512 kilobits per second temporarily during times when the network has spare capacity.
