What is adnFrVCDiscardLisIn?
This counter increments each time an incoming frame is thrown away because the local in-channel signaling (LIS) system declared the permanent virtual circuit inactive or down. Network engineers use this metric to troubleshoot signaling failures that prevent frames from reaching their destination even though the underlying circuit exists. For instance, if this counter suddenly jumps from 0 to 50, it indicates the local signaling system lost contact with the remote end and has been discarding traffic for the last few seconds.
