Description: This field indicates whether the VC is delay sensitive. If either this field or adnFrChanDelaySensitive is set to 'true(1)', then path selection for the VC will be based on the criterion (delay, monetary cost, hops). Otherwise, path selection will be based on the criterion (monetary cost, delay, hops).
What is adnFrVCDelaySensitive?
This OID is a boolean flag indicating whether the virtual circuit is sensitive to network delays and should prioritize low-latency paths during routing. Network engineers care about this setting because it directly affects how the network chooses which path to use for the circuit—delay-sensitive circuits prioritize latency while others prioritize cost. When set to true, the network will choose routes based on delay first, then cost, then hop count.
