Description: Enables and disables the immediate reduction of excessive disk storage in Disk Utilization Management's managed filesystems. Independent of its monitoring cycle, Disk Utilization Management immediately reduces excessive disk storage. Once the excess storage is reduced, Disk Utilization Management effectively sets this object to disabled. The Disk Utilization Management's managed filesystems are also defined in the adnDumGroup.
What is adnDumImmediatelyReduceExcess?
This OID enables emergency disk cleanup that triggers immediately without waiting for the next monitoring cycle. Network engineers use this setting when they need urgent space recovery during disk crisis situations. For example, setting this to "enabled" allows the system to immediately delete excess files when disk usage hits critical levels.
