Description: Enables and disables the cyclical reduction of excess disk storage in Disk Utilization Management's managed filesytems. Disk Utilization Management's reduction process is an adjunct of its monitoring process. The periodicity of both processes is defined by adnDumMonitorInterval. The Disk Utilization Management's managed filesystems are also defined in adnDumGroup.
What is adnDumCyclicallyReduceExcess?
This OID controls whether the system periodically deletes old files to reduce disk usage on a regular schedule. Network engineers enable this for gradual, continuous cleanup that runs in sync with the monitoring interval. For example, setting this to "enabled" means the system deletes old statistics files every time the monitoring cycle runs.
