Description: Path Coding Violation (PCV) Error Event. A Path Coding Violation error event is : - a frame synchronization bit error in the T1-SF and E1 no CRC formats, - a CRC-6 error in the T1-ESF format, - a CRC-4 error in the E1 CRC formats.
Counter #11 of the ATM core, only available on ATM-T1, ATM-E1, CES-T1 and CES-E1-CRC interfaces.
What is adnDsx1PcvCounter?
This counter tracks path coding violation errors, which are synchronization bit errors or CRC failures in the transmission path depending on the frame format. Engineers monitor PCV because it indicates timing errors or corruption in the signal format that degrade line performance and can lead to circuit instability. A value of 85 shows 85 coding violations occurred, which often precedes complete frame loss if the line condition continues to degrade.
