What is adnDsx1MsFerfTest?
This read-write control lets you transmit a far-end receive failure (FERF) yellow alarm signal to the remote side for testing purposes, verifying the remote equipment can detect and handle alarms. Network engineers rely on this to confirm a remote device will alert its operators when it receives the FERF signal, without triggering a real line outage. For example, activating FERF for one minute confirms the remote-end NMS correctly raises a yellow alarm event in its system logs.
