What is adnDsx1IntervalAISSs?
This counter records the number of seconds in a 15-minute interval when the circuit was signaling AIS (Alarm Indication Signal) at the path level, which the far-end equipment sends when it detects a problem upstream. A network engineer uses this to pinpoint where a fault originates—if AIS is high, it means the equipment is telling the network that the incoming signal is bad. For example, a value of 45 seconds of AIS during a 15-minute window indicates a persistent upstream connectivity problem.
