Description: It specifies the pattern to be sent in the signalling nibble (ABCD bits of CAS signalling) when trunk conditioning (fault condition) on Constant Bit Rate interface is activated. It only applies to structured data transfer service.
What is adnCESCondSignal?
This parameter defines the bit pattern for CAS signalling (the ABCD nibble used in T1/E1 circuits) that gets sent during trunk conditioning when a fault is detected. Network engineers use this to signal far-end equipment about the fault—the pattern allows the remote side to recognize the problem and take corrective action (like failover) rather than treating it as a valid signal. Sending an all-ones pattern (0x0F) in the signalling nibble during a fault condition tells legacy telephone switches that the circuit is disabled, triggering automatic route-around to a backup line.
