Module: ADN-MIB
OID (symbolic): ADN-MIB::adnAtmVplTrafficDescrType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.4.37.1.6.1.5
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER

Description: The type of Virtual Path Link (VPL) traffic descriptor in the transmit and receiving direction. Depending on the value, certain traffic parameters must be initialized:
- 'adnAtmTrafficDescPcrCdv':
The following traffic parameters must be initialized:
adnAtmVplTrmPcrAggregate, adnAtmVplRcvPcrAggregate, adnAtmVplTrmCdvTol, adnAtmVplRcvCdvTol, adnAtmVplTrmBwWeighting, adnAtmVplRcvBwWeighting,
- 'adnAtmTrafficDescPcrCdvScrMbs':
The following traffic parameters must be initialized:
adnAtmVplTrmPcrAggregate, adnAtmVplRcvPcrAggregate, adnAtmVplTrmScrAggregate, adnAtmVplRcvScrAggregate, adnAtmVplTrmMbsAggregate, adnAtmVplRcvMbsAggregate, adnAtmVplTrmCdvTol, adnAtmVplRcvCdvTol, adnAtmVplTrmBwWeighting, adnAtmVplRcvBwWeighting.
What is adnAtmVplTrafficDescrType?
This OID specifies which traffic-shaping parameters are active on the Virtual Path Link—for example, whether the link uses PCR+CDV (peak cell rate plus delay tolerance) or PCR+SCR+MBS (peak/sustainable rates plus burst size). Engineers configure this to define how strictly the network polices traffic entering the VPL. Different traffic descriptor types require different parameters to be set, so engineers need to know which parameters must be configured based on this value.
