What is adnAtmVplPerfRcvCellDiscarded?
This counter tracks the number of ATM cells that were received on a Virtual Path Link (VPL) but discarded due to police processing (traffic shaping enforcement). Network engineers use this to identify when traffic exceeds configured rate limits and to tune police thresholds to balance protection with performance. A value of 500000 means 500,000 cells have been dropped on this VPL due to exceeding the configured bandwidth limit.
