This read-only field shows the current call-attempt state of the VC connection—whether it's successfully connected, attempting connection, or has failed. Engineers check this to diagnose VC health in real time, independent of administrative controls. For example, if adnAtmUniVcCconnectAdminStatus is 'up' but operStatus shows 'failed', you know the VC was enabled but something prevented it from connecting.
