Description: Whether the VPi and VCi number are inserted in the Setup request message. This object is significant only when the switch follows the network side of the protocol recommendations. This object is significant only if adnAtmSigProtocol is 'atmfv40'. The not significant value is 'disabled'.
What is adnAtmSigVpiVciAlloc?
When enabled on network-side equipment, the switch automatically inserts Virtual Path Identifier (VPI) and Virtual Channel Identifier (VCI) numbers into Setup request messages. This tells the user-side equipment which circuit path to use instead of negotiating or letting the user choose. For example, the switch sends 'use VPI=5, VCI=100' in the Setup message to assign the specific ATM channel.
