Description: The length (in seconds) of the timer started upon transmission of a Drop party message. The timer is stopped upon receipt of a Drop party acknowledge, Add party reject, or Release message. If the timer expires, the connection is considered as cleared.
What is adnAtmSigT398?
This timer runs when the switch sends a message to remove a party from a multi-party ATM connection, counting down while waiting for acknowledgement. If the timer expires without receiving a Drop party acknowledge, Add party reject, or Release message, the switch clears the entire connection. A value of 20 seconds is typical to balance responsiveness with tolerance for network delays.
