Description: The length (in seconds) of the timer started upon transmission of a Status enquiry message. The timer is stopped upon receipt of a Status, Release, or Release complete message. If the timer expires, the Status enquiry message may be resent several times.
What is adnAtmSigT322?
The switch starts a timer when it sends a Status enquiry message during ATM call setup, measuring how long to wait for a response. If the timer expires without receiving a Status, Release, or Release complete message back, the system may resend the Status enquiry. A typical value of 30 seconds gives the other side time to respond before the switch tries again.
