Description: The length (in seconds) of the timer started upon transmission of a Restart message. The timer is stopped upon receipt of a Restart Acknowledge message. If the timer expires, the Restart message may be resent several times.
What is adnAtmSigT316?
This OID sets the timeout (in seconds) after sending a Restart message (used to reset a faulty connection) until receiving an acknowledgment; the message may be resent if the timer expires. Engineers use this during troubleshooting to restart problem connections; the timer ensures the restart doesn't hang if the remote device is unresponsive.
