Description: The length (in seconds) of the timer started upon receipt of a Call proceeding message. The timer is stopped upon receipt of a Connect or Release message. If the timer expires, the connection is released.
What is adnAtmSigT310?
This OID sets the timeout (in seconds) after receiving a 'Call Proceeding' message (indicating call is being processed) until either the call connects or gets released. Engineers configure this to prevent calls from hanging indefinitely in a processing state; if the switch can't complete the call, it must attempt and fail or succeed quickly. Example: 120 seconds means the system allows the called switch up to 2 minutes to either ring the phone or send a failure/connect message.
