Description: The Calling Line Identification Restriction (CLIR) service implementation. Whether the switch is allowed to update the Presentation Indicator (PI) field of the calling party number Information Element (IE) in each Setup message received (issued from the calling subscriber) and forwarded by the switch to the called subscriber.
What is adnAtmSigClir?
When enabled, the switch can update the Presentation Indicator in the calling party number field to hide or restrict the calling number from the called party. This implements the calling line identification restriction (CLIR) service where callers can choose privacy. For example, if a caller activates CLIR on their handset, the switch marks their number as restricted in messages forwarded to the called party.
