What is adnAtmSaalMaxSTAT?
This OID specifies the maximum number of status parameters that can be included in a single ATM Adaptation Layer status message, and must be an odd number per the ATM specification. Engineers configure this value to balance status message frequency (more items per message = fewer messages needed) with latency (larger messages take longer to transmit). For example, a value of 15 means one status message can report the status of up to 15 items before a new message is required.
