This counter tracks the number of switched (dynamic) point-to-multipoint Virtual Path Connections where this ATM interface acts as the root (originating point). Engineers use this to monitor dynamically created multicast VPC trees and identify unexpected multicast traffic patterns. A value of 2 means 2 switched point-to-multipoint VPC trees are currently rooted at this interface.
