This OID contains the maximum number of switched Virtual Path Connections (on-demand VP circuits) that this ATM interface can establish at the same time. Engineers check this when estimating how many simultaneous VP-level call requests the interface can handle. For example, a value of 512 allows the interface to support up to 512 concurrent switched VPCs.
