Description: Number of far end block errors (FEBE) received from the remote equipment. Counter #9 of the ATM core, only available on DS3-PLCP interfaces.
What is adnAtmDs3PlcpFebeCounter?
This counter counts the number of Far End Block Errors (FEBE) reported by the remote DS3 equipment, indicating errors the remote side detected in blocks it received from you. Engineers use this to diagnose if the problem is on your side of the link (you are sending bad data to them) or the opposite direction. For example, if FEBE is rising but your local error counters are zero, the problem is your transmission quality, not the incoming signal.
