Description: The counter associated with the number of reception buffer overflows; counter #7 of the ATM core; this counter is not relevant for the matrix board, the BBTS1C boards and for the BBTP3C boards.
What is adnAtmBoardErRBOFCounter?
This counter measures how many times the board's inbound data buffer has overflowed while receiving ATM cells. Network engineers track this to diagnose ingress congestion and determine if the link speed or board processing capacity needs to be increased. If this counter is 9, the receive buffer has overflowed 9 times, showing sustained overload on the input side.
