Description: The counter associated with the number of network FIFO overflows; counter #2 of the ATM core; this counter is not relevant for the matrix board, the BBTS1C boards and for the BBTP3C boards.
What is adnAtmBoardErNFOFCounter?
This counter tracks how many times the network-side output FIFO has overflowed while sending data toward the network. Network engineers watch this to see when incoming network traffic is overwhelming the board's ability to process and forward it. If this counter reads 25, the network FIFO has overflowed 25 times, showing the board cannot handle incoming traffic at the current rate.
