Description: The counter associated with the number of cells received on non active VC; counter #5 of the ATM core; this counter is not relevant for the matrix board, the BBTS1C boards and for the BBTP3C boards.
What is adnAtmBoardErNAVCCounter?
This counter records ATM cells that arrived on Virtual Circuits (VCs) that are not currently configured or active on the board. Network engineers care about this because misrouted cells indicate either upstream configuration errors or potentially malicious traffic. If this counter reads 40, 40 cells have arrived on inactive VCs, suggesting the peer may be sending traffic to unconfigured circuits.
