adnAtmAccRcvTrafficDescrType
Module: ADN-MIB
OID (symbolic): ADN-MIB::adnAtmAccRcvTrafficDescrType
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.637.3.1.4.37.2.1.39
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-only
Description: The type of a virtual cross-connection (Virtual Path Connection (VPC) and Virtual Channel Connection (VCC)) traffic descriptor in the receive direction. Depending on the value, the following traffic parameters (defined in the same direction) are initialized: - 'pcrCdv': .PcrAggregate PARAM1 .CdvTol PARAM2 - 'pcrCdvScrMbs': .PcrAggregate PARAM1 .CdvTol PARAM2 .ScrAggregate PARAM3 .MbsAggregate PARAM4 - 'pcrCdvPcr0': .PcrAggregate PARAM1 .CdvTol PARAM2 .PcrClpZero PARAM3 - 'pcrCdvScr0Mbs0': .PcrAggregate PARAM1 .CdvTol PARAM2 .ScrClpZero PARAM3 .MbsClpZero PARAM4 Common name : Traffic Descriptor in the Receiving Direction.
What is adnAtmAccRcvTrafficDescrType?
This OID specifies which set of receive traffic descriptors is active for monitoring inbound traffic: pcrCdv (peak rate and delay variation only) or pcrCdvScrMbs (peak, delay variation, sustained rate, and burst size). Network engineers use this to understand what traffic shaping and policing rules are applied to cells arriving on the virtual connection. For example, if set to pcrCdvScrMbs, the receive side monitors both peak and sustained rates to detect traffic violations from the remote end.
