Access: read-only

Description: This variable indicates the port status. It is a bit map represented as a sum; therefore it can represent multiple failures. This variable is only significant for HSC boards (except CEM8 boards).

For HSC boards except BBTS1C and BBTP3C boards, the bit positions are :

N.B.: This variable is significant when the operational state of the port is enabled. When there is no port error, this variable has the value 0.

What is adnAeiPortHSCStatus?

This is a signed 32-bit integer bitmapped field indicating the current status of an ATM port on an HSC board, with each bit representing out-of-synchronization, network FIFO overflow, RAM parity errors, or corrected cell header errors. Network engineers examine this field to isolate which specific problem is affecting an HSC port so they can apply the right fix. A value of 13 (binary 1101) means four different fault conditions are active: out-of-sync, FIFO overflow, RAM parity error, and cell header correction events.
