Description: This variable indicates the gravity of a port failure. It is a bit map represented as a sum. Each bit position maps to the corresponding position in the nominator adnAeiPortASEStatus, adnAeiPortCIGStatus or adnAeiPortHSCStatus (which defines the port's failure status). The adnAeiPortErOrWgStatus bit classifies the failure as either an error (value '1') or a warning (value '0'). A bit value of '0' can also mean the failure classification does not apply to the failure status.
What is adnAeiPortErOrWgStatus?
This is a bitmapped integer field that classifies each detected port failure as either a critical error (bit value 1) or a non-critical warning (bit value 0). Network engineers use this field to quickly assess the severity of port problems and prioritize which issues need immediate intervention. A value of 5 (binary 101) indicates two failures are present: one classified as a critical error and one as a warning condition.
