Description: The counter associated with the number of CRC errors on payload field of self identified cells (SIC); counter #7 of the ATM core; this counter is not relevant for the matrix board, the BBTS1C boards, the BBTP3C boards and for the HBCEx boards.
What is adnAeiPortErCRCSICCounter?
This counter records CRC errors found in Self-Identified Cells (SIC), which are special management cells that indicate link status and performance. When SIC cells have errors, the port may miss important status changes or incorrectly assess link health. An incrementing counter suggests physical layer degradation affecting even the smallest data units.
