Description: This variable indicates the port status. It is a bit map represented as a sum; therefore it can represent multiple failures. This variable is only significant for CEM8 boards.

The bit positions are :

N.B.: This variable is significant when the operational state of the port is enabled. When there is no port error, this variable has the value 0.

What is adnAeiPortCEMStatus?

This bitmap variable represents the current health status of a CEM8 circuit emulation port, where each bit flags a specific problem such as out-of-sync, FIFO overflow, parity errors, or cell header errors. Network engineers decode this value to isolate which failure is occurring when circuits drop or degrade unexpectedly. A value of 25 (binary 11001) indicates simultaneous out-of-synchronization plus both corrected and uncorrected cell header errors, requiring immediate investigation.
