What Is ACMEPACKET-TC?
ACMEPACKET-TC is a textual-convention module for Oracle/Acme Packet Session Border Controllers (SBCs), defining shared data types used across Acme Packet's SBC-specific MIB modules. It contains no managed objects of its own, only type and enumeration definitions consumed by other Acme Packet MIBs. As a TC-only module it plays no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; the actual session, media, and system health objects are defined in sibling Acme Packet MIBs that import these conventions. Its dependency is foundational to the entire Acme Packet MIB suite. It is deployed as a prerequisite import wherever Acme Packet/Oracle SBC devices, used for VoIP/SIP session border control, are SNMP-managed. Engineers who download ACMEPACKET-TC typically load it into their MIB compiler first, since every other Acme Packet SBC MIB module fails to compile without these shared type definitions present.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACMEPACKET-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Oracle Acme Packet 1100 — current enterprise Session Border Controller appliance
- Oracle Communications Session Border Controller (S-Cz10.0.0, 2025) — current SBC software release
- Oracle (Acme Packet) Net-Net Session Border Controllers
Monitoring Examples
This module defines only shared textual conventions, not runtime objects, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe; actual SBC session/call and system status objects live in the other Acme Packet MIB modules that import these type definitions.
