Description: Manages target identifier configuration and service endpoint identification on Accedian MetroNID performance monitoring devices.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ACD-TID-MIB?

ACD-TID-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Accedian Networks that manages Transaction IDs (TIDs) used to track configuration and status changes on its MetroNID Ethernet performance devices. It exposes a table of monitored objects (acdTidInfoTable) each identified by an OID (acdTidInfoOID) and type/description, along with a last-change TID counter both at the configuration level (acdTidCfgLastChangeTid) and status level (acdTidStatusLastChangeTid). Functionally this is a change-tracking/software-state monitoring MIB: it lets a management system detect that some monitored object's configuration or status has changed since it last checked, without needing to poll every object individually, which is useful for efficient fault and configuration-drift detection. It is part of the Accedian MetroNID MIB family and is designed to work alongside other Accedian MIBs whose objects are tracked via acdTidInfoOID references. It is typically deployed on Accedian MetroNID Ethernet demarcation devices in carrier networks for efficient change-detection polling. Engineers can download the ACD-TID-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACD-TID-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Accedian MetroNID Ethernet demarcation device

Monitoring Examples

A management system would periodically poll acdTidCfgLastChangeTid and acdTidStatusLastChangeTid as cheap heartbeat values; if either counter increments, it would then walk acdTidInfoTable / acdTidInfoEntry to find which acdTidInfoOID entries have an updated acdTidInfoLastChangeTid, pinpointing exactly which configuration or status object changed. This lets an operator detect, for example, that a shaper queue configuration or an alarm state changed without re-polling the entire device. The acdTidInfoDescr and acdTidInfoType fields help identify the nature of the changed object.

What Can Be Monitored

  • last-change transaction ID (config)
  • last-change transaction ID (status)
  • per-object change tracking
  • monitored object type/description
