Category: Vendor: ACC/Ericsson

Description: Manages network probe and active measurement configuration on ACC/Ericsson routers, enabling scheduled performance and reachability tests.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ACC-PROBE?

ACC-PROBE is a vendor-specific MIB for ACC (Ericsson) routers that manages active network measurement, i.e. configurable probes that test reachability and performance to remote targets. It exposes configuration objects for scheduling tests and status/results objects reporting outcomes such as latency, loss, or reachability failures. No module description or object list was available in the source for this module, so exact object semantics can't be confirmed, but by design it supports monitoring of network-path health rather than internal device hardware. It most likely relies on standard SNMP SMI/TC conventions and possibly interacts with ACC's own routing MIBs for target addressing. Typical deployment is on ACC/Ericsson WAN routers used by carriers or enterprises, where ACC-PROBE SNMP monitoring proactively verifies link and service-level reachability.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-PROBE. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ACC/Ericsson router
  • WAN edge device

Monitoring Examples

No sample objects were supplied for this module, so no specific table or scalar names can be cited. In a typical deployment, an operator would configure a scheduled probe MIB entry and later poll a results object to detect a rise in round-trip time or probe failures indicating a WAN path problem. This description remains general because the underlying object identifiers were not available for grounding.

What Can Be Monitored

  • scheduled probe configuration
  • reachability test results
  • performance test results
  • probe failure status
