What Is ACC-FILESYS?
ACC-FILESYS is an enterprise MIB for ACC/Ericsson routers managing the device's onboard file system, covering directory listings, file operations, and flash-storage utilization. It exposes tables such as accFsDirectTable/accFsDirectEntry, with per-file attributes like size, block size, creation info, and software version/platform tag, along with accFsVolumeTable and accFsLoadedFiles for volume- and load-status information. This is a hardware/software status MIB in the storage domain: it lets an operator check flash storage usage and free space, confirm which firmware image is currently loaded via accFsLoadedFiles, and verify file integrity via accFsDirectStatus, all critical for planning firmware upgrades and avoiding storage exhaustion. It works alongside ACC-FLASH, which covers flash partition management and firmware upgrade control more specifically. It is deployed on ACC/Ericsson routers where administrators need to manage and monitor onboard flash-based file storage for configuration and firmware images. Engineers can download the ACC-FILESYS file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-FILESYS. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ACC/Ericsson access router
Monitoring Examples
An administrator polls accFsDirectTable to list files with their accFsDirectBytSize and accFsDirectSwVers, confirming the correct firmware image is present and correctly sized, then checks accFsVolumeTable for overall flash volume free space. If accFsDirectStatus reports an error state on a critical file, or free space on the volume drops close to zero, that signals an impending inability to write new configuration or firmware images to the device.
What Can Be Monitored
- flash file directory listing
- file size and attributes
- software version per file
- flash volume free space
- loaded firmware files
- file status/integrity
