Description: AudioCodes MIB for control-plane link keep-alive timers, transport settings, and board-level configuration on AudioCodes VoIP gateways and media servers

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AC-CONTROL-MIB?

AC-CONTROL-MIB is an AudioCodes enterprise MIB for the control-plane infrastructure of AudioCodes VoIP gateways and media servers, covering keep-alive timers, transport-layer settings, and board-level configuration. It exposes mostly configuration objects describing how the device's signaling/control channel is set up and maintained, rather than rich runtime counters. It still supports monitoring of control-plane software health: the configured keep-alive interval and transport settings determine how quickly the device detects and recovers from a lost heartbeat to its call agent or softswitch. It is typically used in conjunction with AC-SYSTEM-MIB (device identity/reset) and the AC-PM-* performance MIBs to build a complete AudioCodes device picture. It is deployed on AudioCodes Mediant gateways and media servers operating under a call-agent/softswitch control architecture. Engineers can download the AC-CONTROL-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AC-CONTROL-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • AudioCodes VoIP gateway
  • AudioCodes media server

Monitoring Examples

An operator checks the control-link keep-alive timer and transport configuration objects to confirm the gateway is set to detect a lost connection to its call agent within an acceptable interval; a keep-alive interval configured too long delays failover detection. Because AC-CONTROL-MIB is largely a configuration module, day-to-day fault detection typically relies on companion trap/alarm objects elsewhere in the AudioCodes MIB set rather than counters within this module itself.

What Can Be Monitored

  • control-link keep-alive timer setting
  • transport protocol configuration
  • board-level configuration parameters
