Description: M2000-V2 module

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is M2000-V2?

M2000-V2 is a Huawei M2000-family Element Management System MIB that defines managed objects used by the SNMP Northbound Interface, i.e., the objects an upstream OSS/NMS polls or receives notifications for when integrating with Huawei's M2000 management platform rather than objects on a single network element itself. No sample objects were provided in the source, limiting concrete specificity, but as a northbound integration MIB it would typically expose alarm/fault summary objects, managed-element status, and system-level notifications representing the aggregated state of the devices under M2000 management. Administrators use it to monitor the software-level health and alarm status of the managed network as surfaced through the M2000 EMS northbound interface, rather than hardware sensors on a single box. It is inherently dependent on the broader Huawei M2000 EMS architecture and the network elements it manages, acting as an aggregation/proxy layer rather than a standalone device MIB. It is deployed at the OSS/NMS integration layer where a higher-level management system polls or receives traps from Huawei's M2000 EMS for telecom network monitoring. Engineers can download the M2000-V2 file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in M2000-V2. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Huawei M2000 Element Management System (EMS) northbound interface

Monitoring Examples

Without concrete sample object names, a specific grounded monitoring example cannot be constructed for this module; in general, an integrating OSS would use this MIB's northbound objects to receive alarm notifications and query aggregated managed-element status forwarded by the M2000 EMS rather than polling hardware sensors directly.

What Can Be Monitored

  • aggregated alarm/fault status
  • managed network element status
  • EMS northbound notifications
