What Is ZXR10-VRF-MIB?

ZXR10-VRF-MIB is a ZTE proprietary module for ZXR10 routers managing Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) instances, used to segment a single physical router into multiple isolated per-tenant routing contexts. It exposes configuration data including a VRF table listing each VRF's name, description, and VPN identifier, plus a route-distinguisher (RD) table binding each VRF to its RD and VPN ID, and an enabled-objects table tracking which VRF-related features are active. This is primarily a configuration/inventory MIB rather than a hardware health MIB, but it lets an administrator monitor the software-level status of multi-tenant routing, confirming which VRFs are provisioned, correctly named, and bound to the expected route distinguisher. It is closely tied to MPLS/VPN standards (RFC 4364-style VRF concepts) and is used alongside other ZTE ZXR10 per-VRF routing MIBs such as ZXR10-VRF-ROUTERS-MIB. It is deployed in ZTE ZXR10 carrier and enterprise routers providing multi-tenant or VPN routing services. Engineers can download the ZXR10-VRF-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll zxr10vrfTable/zxr10vrfEntry to read zxr10vrfVrfName, zxr10vrfDescription, and zxr10vrfVpnid for each provisioned VRF, and cross-check zxr10rdTable/zxr10rdEntry entries (zxr10rdEnabledVrfName, zxr10rdRd, zxr10rdVpnId) to confirm each VRF's route distinguisher matches provisioning records. A VRF present in zxr10vrfTable but missing a corresponding zxr10rdTable entry would indicate an incomplete VPN configuration that could cause route leaking or a tenant losing routes.
