Description: Defines ZTE ZXR10 VLAN translation rules for mapping customer VLAN IDs to service VLAN IDs at network edges.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ZXR10-VLAN-TRANS-MIB?
This is a ZTE proprietary MIB for the ZXR10 platform that manages VLAN translation, mapping customer-facing VLAN IDs to service-provider VLAN IDs at network edges, a common feature for metro Ethernet and carrier VLAN stacking deployments. It exposes the configuration objects needed to define and manage these VLAN ID translation rules on ZXR10 edge devices. Its monitoring value is primarily configuration-state visibility: confirming translation rules are correctly provisioned so that customer traffic is mapped to the intended service VLAN, which helps diagnose traffic that is dropped or misdirected due to a VLAN ID mismatch at the network edge. It complements the standard 802.1Q VLAN model rather than replacing it. It is deployed on ZTE ZXR10 edge switches/routers in metro Ethernet or carrier-edge environments using VLAN translation for multi-tenant service delivery, and administrators can download the ZXR10-VLAN-TRANS-MIB file to load into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-VLAN-TRANS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE ZXR10 edge router/switch
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would check the VLAN translation configuration entries to confirm a given customer VLAN ID is correctly mapped to its intended service VLAN ID at the network edge. A customer whose traffic is not reaching the core network would prompt review of this mapping to rule out a missing or incorrect translation rule as the cause. Only an IMPORTS clause was provided as a sample object for this module, so specific table/object identifiers beyond that cannot be confirmed here.
What Can Be Monitored
- customer-to-service VLAN ID mapping
- VLAN translation rule configuration
